No patch/update?
So these games are now out on steam for a couple of days. There are huge problems with AMD card useres, who can't play the game. Why didn't anything happen yet?

Not saying anything won't happen, but sometimes devs these days are just makin report threads and not fixing anything, or known issues, etc...

Amd said they are looking into it but yeah that doesn't mean they are obliged to fix it anytime soon, and square Enix is likely busy with final fantasy and other games, they might address this game before release of kh4 or if enough people refunded that when they check their sales they see the minus

ya Fromsoft is doing the exact same thing with Elden Ring DLC rn. its terribly optimized and no update to fix that. WTF is wrong with Japanese devs and optimization.

Unfortunately the repos have gone cold, all they've patched so far was adjust the font size in the launcher. The port has far bigger issues like completely borked re: com controls or Spanish UI bleeding in when using a controller which I doubt will ever get fixed. Your best hope is for AMD to issue a patch, since It's unfortunately probably their bug in the first place.

It's not AMD problem to fix a bad port AMD won't do anything you can bet on it, SE had 3 years to fix crashes and problems with RDN3 the way they handled this port from the beginning is telling, SE didn't care at all this is just a cash grab on steam at this point.

The game had been out on EGS for 3 years no with the same GPU issues.

Crashes have been on both versions regardless of gpu manufacturer or model since release, I own EPIC version since day one it crashed on my old 10900k/3090 now on my 13900ks/4090 it crashes just like before it crashes on my Legion GO I get it is RDNA3 they at least acknowledged there is a problem with it, is clearly the games fault is the only game that crashed for me 2 years now, you can also find tons of post about it on reddit/social media with crashes on both nvidia/amd so no they had enough time to fix it they choose to ignore it, like with other SE ports.

I hope they fix this sh1t, it's a shame so many people don't get to enjoy it. I'm thankful that I am one of the lucky ones where all the games run without issues (6950 XT), but I agree it seems like they don't give a f**k about fixing it? 🤨

They had 3 years to do this. The only difference between the Epic and Steam version is the launcher tied to the games. I doubt there could be that much work required at all to "port" (using this loosely here) the games from Epic to Steam, so it makes you wonder what the hell they spent their time on if not on fixing issues that have persisted for 3 years. Still, I'm grateful that it's finally on Steam.

I mean, if it's literally only one specific line of GPU's and no others, I guarantee its AMD's notoriously ♥♥♥♥♥♥ drivers striking again. I absolutely bet if someone was to run this game on Linux instead of windows with the ROG Ally, it would work fine.

ROG Ally has an RDNA3 GPU as well, namely 780M.

I dual boot bazzite os (is pretty much steamos) on legion go it has the same chip as rog ally z1 extrme with rdna3(780m) and guess what is still crashes not just to desktop like on windows it's freezing completely this device when it happens is only game that did it so far, I mentioned above I have crashes on nvidia rtx 4090 that's not amd and if you check this forum there are plenty people saying they have the same crashes on nvidia too, this port is just bad is done partially by Epic and they stopped supporting it shortly after release and SE doesn't care, If you look at SE past record with post releases support you will see is pretty much non existent, no changes on steamdb that means no patch is in the works.
