did Deep Dive not play for anyone else?

Just finished 1, met all requirements as far as I can tell, All Keyholes + pups (for As,As.) and Jiminy's Journal complete (for DD), but only the Another Side, Another Story sequence played.

Which difficulty are you playing on? Did you finish the Hades Cup?

Final Mix, forgot to mention I also finished Hades Cup. Though, you can't finish Jiminy's Journal without it.

update, though i still need to try it because i forgot. two days ago i read an article listing requirements listing beating the game again to get the deep dive version. will try right now and see if that does the trick

yep, mine just started as well. bit of an awkward way to go about it. but fair enough i suppose.

nvm, it did not. now i wonder what's is going on with it then. how did you go about it? i just loaded in from the same save right before the last boss and beat it again while having already seen the non-deep dive version.

Update. Issue solved.

It appears as though when you don't inspect every single entry in the journal the game does not consider or see it as completed.

I had left the last entry I got, Neoshadow, unread. I checked it as a last possibility, beat the boss again and finally got the deep dive cutscene.

First time ever that I saw leaving an entry unread made it not count but it is what it is, just glad I can move on without the annoyance of missing a special cutscene I shouldn't be missing.
