The store page is confusing. Does this let you experience Kingdom hearts from the first game to the last in a cohesive manner? I've only played the first two on Playstation as a kid and the jump from one to two was jarring.

If you buy 1.5+2.5, 2.8, and 3, then you'll have everything except the melodies game and some mobile only titles (which have movie formats of them uploaded on youtube).

Guess I'll find some guide on how to navigate this mess. But basically I can get these games and watch some videos to fill in blanks, I take it. Thanks.

It's not a mess you just need to buy the integrum master piece collection as stated above. If you don't want a whole lot at once then start with 1.2/2.5 then buy 2.8 after that 3 You don't really need to play them in story order playing them in release order is fine.

1.5 is the first game and Chain of Memories. Hence, "1.5"

2.5 is the second game, 358/2, Birth by Sleep, and Re:Coded. Hence, "2.5"

You'd think it'd go to 3 after that, but there's also Dream Drop Distance and Fragmentary Passage. Hence, "2.8"

You need all three games on Steam.

Two Collections and then 3

Then just look up Release Order and play it that way. It’s not that complicated once you do that

(the jump was jarring from 1 to 2 cause you skipped Chain of Memories. Which is included in these collections)

get integrum masterpiece if you can and that covers mostly everything in order. With the above guide to add mobile in there.


Also movie ver of 358/2 on youtube with extra ds cutscenes spliced in if you want a fuller experience for that one, doubles the runtime of what comes on the collection though, so whatever you feel like is fine.

the kh re:coded cutscenes that were just text/gameplay were tldr'd in the collection movie which is fine since it's mostly uninteresting, but theres a little extra content there, otherwise it's fully covered in the collection with some added scenes.
