big companies just give a ♥♥♥♥ about our forum postings as long as the game sells.. but you know what the DO give a sht about ? the reviews. this forces them to do their work because obviously they are selling a broken product wich in EVERY OTHER INDUSTRY woudl be considered FRAUD . so we as gamers wich are affected have to do something to get heard and if the game does not work for me , i leave a negative review warning others about it. easy as that.
gamers as a community should stand together against greedy buissness practices and not defend them just because one of us is not affected.. that (to me) is like saying " yeah war isnt that bad" just because the war is not in my country...
i for my part left my negative review until this gets fixed.
this port has issues that perisist since it was on PLAYSTATION 3 !! this is how less square cares...
This is beyond the fact that any game that has bugs, crashes, framerate or other kind of issues also get negative reviewed all the time.
This is exactly why the review system is in place. Think of it this way: contacting SE or using their forums would mean that people need to go out their way to see those posts. But steam reviews are much more visible, and if this affects the review rating of the game people will think twice about buying the game. Tell me, have you ever not buy a game because it had a Mixed or Negative overall review? If that ends up affecting sales then there is a much higher chance that SE or any other company will actually look at the issues at hand and take things seriously.
I've been playing FFXIV for a long time, and I've had a few run ins with 'contacting SE.' Speaking from experience? SE's support is not designed to be contacted. They're unhelpful and slow. They barely read the tickets I've sent, and they're barely familiar with the products they're supposed to be providing support for.
Because most support tickets are just left in the digital heap or "answered" then nothing actually gets done. If you have the community come together and tackle their front-end directly to steer away potential sales due to negative review scores mentioning performance issues, they're gonna take the matter way more seriously.
You honestly think SE will actually listen?
