i dont have any issues on a radeon rx 6600, so this is definitely the best version of the game for me
Joking, but of course, PC is always my route to go.
KH1 Final Mix for example, isn't a port of the PS2 version (which was Japan release only IIRC) because they lost the source code for it. So they had to recreate everything for the HD release. One glaring problem that stuck out to me for this version is the boss fights, especially the late game ones, doesn't translate well to a higher framerate environment.
And KH Re:Chain of Memories is the the PS2 remake of CoM on the GBA. This version, in my opinion, is the worst way to play CoM as the card battle system in Re is significantly flawed in design. Bosses are just stat checks coupled with card RNG. If you have the patience and willing to play it, go for it. Otherwise find a way to play the GBA version or watch the ps2 cutscenes on YouTube.
Yeah but at least the framerate isn't crap
The framerates are better on PC what are you on about.
Have fun getting 120 fps without it going nuts. Are you blind?

Wow, such a good port XD
Most Square Enix PC ports are absolutely terrible. All the ports of Final Fantasy games, for example. So the original poster is wise to ask.
Modding can't fix most of the bad Final Fantasy ports.
For Kingdom Hearts though, I believe this version is just fine. Some things are worse and some are better, but in general it's an improvement, especially since it runs at 60 FPS now.
You may want to emulate 358/2 Days though, because it's not actually playable in this collection, it is just a summary with cutscenes.
The original PS2 release does not let you skip cut scenes, This isn't a big issue unless you start struggling with boss fights.
There's one certain boss fight that a lot of people struggled with back in 02'. The cut scene that leads up to is over two minutes long. That doesn't seem bad until it's your 7th or 8th time re-watching that cut scene.
The Japanese only Final Mix ps2 version does let you skip cut scenes but you'll be stuck with all the menu text in Japanese. Unless there's a translated version floating around.
