It's especially obvious in KH1. The original release did not have Leaf Bracer, you could always be knocked out of casting cure and potentially die from it if you were playing too recklessly. It did not have Once More, demanding you pay close attention to how much damage you were taking and find space to back off and heal well before you hit critical health. It barely had ANY of the attack modifers like Ripple Drive or Stun Impact that let you better control enemy actions and increased the damage you were able to dish out. And of course, it didn't have more than half the accessories in this version, both shop accessories and synthesis ones. It's kind of mental how much difference it makes, taken as a whole.
Same choices, too. +Magic, -Attack, start at night.
For example as a Kid I never used Aero for example (the most OP thing in KH1) because I thought that if it doesnt damage then its trash
The original KH1 didn't have those special rare heartless (Pink mushrooms) to farm rare materials. It was easier to get the ultimate weapon.
