how do i save in 100 acre wood

every time i play a mini game in 100 acre wood on KH2 either my M1 or space bar stops registering so i have so quit the game entirely to fix the issue. there is no way to save inside of the 100 acre wood world due to there being no doors to use a moment's reprieve card. so what do i do? i can obviously go through the whole world without playing the mini games but why would i want to do that when there are achievements to unlock.

I found the book again today in KH1 but haven't jumped inside as of yet. Searches indicate there is a save point to the North of the map (with Pooh's house lying to the West). If there is a save point in 1 there should be one in 2. I remember very little about those areas.
