Not saying they shouldn't add it, if they can, though.
The definitely have the original soundtrack, and it is even possible to make it work on the remasters. There are already mods to do that, and there was not necessary to have reverse engineering knowledge, it can be ripped from the PS2 files and the tracks converted into the audio format the HD ReMixes use.
What happens here is that the devs simply didn't want to add it, probably because the arranged tracks are better, or that they didn't want to add a dual-soundtrack system (because KH1 was really hard to work with).
