Hope the Steam version will include the option for the original soundtracks.
Given that from what I hear that they are doing some slight tweaks to the PC version, I hope that they include the option to have the original PS2 soundtrack alongside the new one, and allow you to toggle between them like you could in Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age.

Doubt it, but I'm fine with it, the only time I switch sound tracks was in FFX.

Not saying they shouldn't add it, if they can, though.

If they have the original soundtrack for KH1 that is since they had to re-create everything from retail copies of KH1 and if they somehow got the OG soundtrack with that. Man what happened with original KH1 source code reminds me of what Sega had to do with Shenmue 1&2 they had to reverse engineer Shenmue 1 to make the PC port of that game and the PS4 and Xbox one versions.

Yea, wasn't until the ps3/360 era, companies started to do better at storing their code.

The definitely have the original soundtrack, and it is even possible to make it work on the remasters. There are already mods to do that, and there was not necessary to have reverse engineering knowledge, it can be ripped from the PS2 files and the tracks converted into the audio format the HD ReMixes use.

What happens here is that the devs simply didn't want to add it, probably because the arranged tracks are better, or that they didn't want to add a dual-soundtrack system (because KH1 was really hard to work with).

I'm just hoping they fixed the audio issues in 2.
