It's not DLC overloaded really, the game is fun and you can sink in lots of play time without the DLC. Although they certainly add to the experience.
There are plenty of people in multiplayer, you just have to change your region to avoid the stupid region restriction. Plus there are organized groups you can join.
Career is different and somewhat less interactive, but is still fun and good practice on cars and tracks. But for long playtime, you should look into MP, it's much more detailed.
Graphics are a way above in GAS, except for the cockpit view which is low-detailed.
God forbid you answer the actual question.
do i have the choice to play the multiplayer without tuning, and everyone having the same cars and access towards it? does the rank system matter for the whole mp experience?
It's definitely not an MMO. The car tuning helps, but it's not as simple as "able to tune = win" and it can be disabled in custom lobbies. Owning the car allows you to tune it and apply your own liveries, but any car can be driven as a loaner.
thank u all for you answers! really appreciate it, im probably gonna buy it.
hopefully we see us ingame :P
It only depends on the car class selected, not mode or track. And more than half of all online races are 5-6 most popular classes.
if not Buy both Autosport and Racedriver.
i personally think Autosport is better, better Graphik better gameplay.
both great Arcade racer with a little bit of sim.
If you want a great looking sim race game buy assetto corsa
after my conclusion gird 1 probably the better package, cause
finding out about garage dlc, boost dlc, map tracks dlc is another let down.
screw that, if multiplayer experience wasnt abused enough apparantly?
i read about being bound to have 30 or 35garage slots (what for?) and that they still wouldn't have fixed repair cost/$$$ in regards to more expensive cars, thus making ppl grind or give an incentive to buy the freaking dlc or just skip the certain car categories. in all honesty i think ill pass on this one until the season pass becomes affordable or just skip it altogether, maybe buy grid1, because in the next codemaster's game all these artificial flaws will be fixed, and that could happen soon enough. my bet.
thank u all for the feedback again!
dirt 3 is more of a rally than racing game nonethelss it offers a racing game type and variety; interesting, challenging offroad tracks, if a bit too short; different weather conditions; a simple and easily accessible menu (not more sterile than autosport itself can only be); 'good enough' graphics; no real grinding, no mmo in mp; garage unlimited (?!); no dlc purchasable or at least we're guaranteed be upgrade to complete edition right now.. feels like the dlc completes the game *surpise suprise*, also it is cheap to buy.
gfwl free version supposedly on the way.
saw grid autosport on sale today and felt like ppl should consider dirt 3 as well.
