If you meant this mod it's verified. It has 83 folders just because the settings are stored in separate ones for each car included with the base game. If you're worried either make a backup first of the specific folder or if you don't like the mod simply verify the game cache integrity and that will restore it to the original state. Nothing to worry about.

I heard wobderful things about this mod but its not much of a diffrence to be honest, i was expecting a cockpit like the previous grid game or more need for speed cockpit, i think ill give it a miss, shame though i wanted a decent cockpit as the inside view in Autosport is quite small and thin meaning theres not much of a view compared to other games.
what game is that? the ferrari gameplay, it looks awesome
just realised its that assetto corsa game, I was gonna buy it on sale last week but opted out as its buggy and not finished, and just noticed that the gameplay cockpit view, the steering wheel is not moving and there are no hands, so it looks wierd, but the cockpit view looks good.

Buggy? Its actually pretty polished for a game in alpha stage, Its is unfinished and the menu is pretty basic but like i said its still inalpha stage, The graphics and gamplay far outweigh any flaws the game has, Its probabaly the best racing game ive ever played and the force feedback is just on another level.
Thats not the steeringwheel you can see, Thats actually the gear padles, I have both the wheel and arms turned off becasue i use a Driving Force GT steering wheel and dont like too look at 2 steeringwheels and 4 arms ... Ads that little extra realism.
The only problem is that when you use the look back view, the look left/right views no longer work. I remember having the same issue with the cockpit mod for grid 2.
The mod for getting rid of the blur in the car is ok, but then you just get to see why they blurred it in the first place; those dashboards are UGLY. They put less than zero effort into those things.
This game could have been the next great racer, but CM just cashed in quick once again and sold us on the "we have cockpit view this time, we know it was a mistake to not include them in grid 2" rather than just be honest and say we can't be arsed with cockpit view, if you want it, get a mod, it's better than we can be bothered to do".
I don't think I will be buying CM ever again. Not after what I have seen much smaller teams do with games like assetto corsa.
But yes, I have assetto corsa, and have no bugs at all. It's still a bit light on content, but everything that is there works great. Menu is crap though.
They have every cockpit for every car modelled perfectly, and you can even set your own turn animation to match how you have your wheel. I have it set to 540 degrees, and that is great for me for all cars in the game, and I set it in the options menu to the same, and it matches my movement perfectly.
Like any good race sim (I only know a few mind, I am a noob at these) it also has options to change seat position and camera placement in the cockpit, so you can have the in-car view exactly how you want it. Also, it has a FoV slider, which helps a ton.
I can't fault assetto corsa in any way, it looks and plays great. The AI is super good, which is a pain since I suck at the minute. But I just practice and do time attack rounds in the different cars.
I found some great mods for new tracks as well, since the game is still light on tracks at the minute. The devs are working hard though, so I will be able to get rid of the mods soon enough I reckon.
tl;dr
Anyone interested, assetto corsa is awesome and has fully functional interior, despite what that video shows
One problem I have found with the AI is that they don't seem to be very well coded to deal with the player car at the minute. Like they completely ignore you, even if you are in their way. They just keep going as if you aren't there, smashing you out of the way. And because they are so good, they can recover from a spin so easily it's uncanny.
Some people say the AI is fine, they don't notice this, but I have spoken to others that say the same, and some have said it is that the AI still isn't finished, and it takes no notice of the player at all. This makes sense to me, based on what I have seen.
I also got the game on sale, for like £20 or something instead of £30. Worth every penny. And the devs seem to be working very hard, so hopefully it won't be too long before there is a lot more to do, such as a proper career mode and better multiplayer (although multi is in and working well, it needs work)
I find thats exactly the same with this game though! ... The A.I act like im not even there! Like if im trying to follow the best racing line and a A.I driver goes wide he will still try too move back onto the best line if im there or not! ... Usually bashing me off the track or clipping my back end forcing me to spin out.
Its really annoying.
I have never seen the AI take the slightest notice of me at all in AC, not once.
