Which best settings for Touring cars (Setup)
Hello

I'm having trouble finding a suitable setup for touring category that I can default on several tracks.

This is my current (Cruze, Audi RS5, ADC P14 and Skyline (R32))

CAR SETUP:
Differential: +30
Downforce: -100
Gear Ratios: +20 (depends on the track I change to (-))
Suspension (Front): -30
Suspension (Rear): -30

What is the best option?

What is the best option?

Generally there are no "best options" it depends on Track, FWD, RWD, 4WD, car and how you like to drive a car

best try this or learn by dooing in races

Open custom cup (ofline)

chose track

Try different setups, -best only change one option to optimize- till you get fast lap times

Yes, however there must be a middle ground because changing settings taking all these factors together would be very difficult since we have many cars and different categories

That's why it's best not to bother with tuning at all. Spares lot of brain cells.

The middle ground is literally everything at 0. All cars handle reasonably at default settings.

Are you doing these 1% times every week without tweaking the cars at all?

I wouldnt recommend -100 downforce on VF commodore supertourer ... well havent driven it with -100 but the thing tends to slip away easy, things that tend to slip away that easy i leave downforce alone heh.

I've never touched tuning at all. Not going for top 1% since I started playing online as it pays only 15k more than top 3% at the end of the week and that can be made in just one online race.

Hint. For getting more XP get the bronze, silver and gold medals one by one then have a 'live' go at platinum. It gives 2+4+7+10k XP just in bonus for player level and 1+2+4+8k XP for the car, nothing can beat that in the game.

Can't disagree with this.

Try the Custom Cup with your car and Track preference and muck around with the settings there.

Ye, I have been wondering about this also. It would make more sense, that if you improve the medal, you would get the xp that are the difference between the 2 medals, not just all of it. But oh well, cant really complain about extra XP for leveling the cars I guess.

And.. impressive you can be that high on leadeboards with standard setup cars :) That kinda motivates me to not go that nerdy while trying lots of different things

Top 3% is very achievable with a rental :)

As of now the only difference between a loaner and a car you bought is tuning as upgrades don't work in Racenet challenges just like in playlists. If you don't touch tuning basically you're running a loaner.

Are you sure of this? Loaned cars are often at like 85% in repairs or something around there. And that should mean the cars only has 85% power in this case. I might be wrong, but I dont think it has been proven that this feature of the game is broken too?

if the car has 100% or 60% makes no difference at all. even your car is on 20% you still have 100% of the power, you will not feel any difference to a 100% car.

does this makes sense? who cares, they already have all they want...our money
ya it makes sense. I just feel quite sure I read somewhere the damage weakens the car. But thats probably just me missreading something then

It's like Madman said, you can run your car even at 0%. The condition of the car has no negative impact on its performance. This doesn't bother me but upgrades should be working as expected and that has been confirmed or you can do it yourself too if in doubt.

Only place where upgrades work is in custom cups with disabled tuning and enabled upgrades.
