PC Texture Pack [Free Download]

Thought you'd like to know that we plan on releasing a high resolution texture pack. Due to the size of the files it doesn't quite fit on the disk so we're going to offering it up as a free download from launch day.

It's a 5gb download but will boost the car textures up to 4k resolution.

one question on this. Since, I cannot be sure that my system would be able to handle this, would I be able to uninstall this pack if I try it out and it does not give me a good experience. Or at least make sure it doesn't install itself every time if I reinstall the game. I ask because normally dlc and patches get installed automatically on every subsequent installs if you download them once.

There is an option in the Steam Beta Client that let's you uncheck DLC, since this texture pack will be released as DLC you will be able to disable it that way.

Most excellent news! Good to see PC getting some focus. Can't wait to see what this will look like compared to Grid 1 & 2.

I wish the cockpits in the cars were more detailed and not blurred out. Everyone hates it. I would love to see it changed.

instead of the graphics ,could you please look at AI attributes and in car graphics,eh tacho and speedo that are visible. Not all drivers like to drive outside the car

The new texture pack is missing some tips on which type of hardware it should be used. And on which one not. Some players got cars loosing color, becoming white or flashing red and black. This was caused by the new texture pack, but there was no warning included.

Hmm. Anyway i'm not gonna get it for my cpu with these specs even though game runs really nicely- better than GRID 2 at the same settings! Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
Processor: AMD A6-3650 Quad Core (If I got another computer I would want Octa-Core)
Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 6530D
This is not the worst gaming pc, all my games work including Watch_Dogs at low settings!
