Beginners guide to Multiplayer

Introduction

Grid Autosport Multiplayer is not like any other CodeMasters multiplayer title, and getting into multiplayer at first might be a bit much.

I decided to write this beginners guide to share what I learned the hard way so you can have a flying start, and believe me, you'll need it.

Objective

It is obvious that the objective will be to win races. To do that, you need to get lots of cars, and to do that, you need lots of ingame cash.

The problem

The problem will be getting cash. Grid Autosport multiplayer introduces using your earnings to pay for done damage to your car. This makes you wonder, should you drive aggressively and try to win no matter the costs, and just hope that your reward will be bigger than the damage to your car, or should you settle for the last place and just keep your car clean?... Really good guide I had no idea about the loan cars.. Feel a bit stupid now lol.
Now I understand how multiplayer works.. And I just had my first few races I think the system is
rather good.
Go figure!

I added mentioning that Stability Control should be off too unless needed. I race with no helpers on and it seems to work, though some may find they get faster with ABS on and other helpers. That of course is totally up to you. :) To start it helps generating cash if you put them off, and when your cars get better and you earn more money, you can also change these helpers as those bonusses are less important.

Wow, thanks a lot. While on the subject multiplayer, can anyone explain me why "join others in game session" (the 4th choice in multiplayer, sentence might not be exactly as I wrote) is greyed out? I can only join a Cup session. Thanks.

You're welcome. Do you have any friends in steam that also have GRID Autosport and are playing multiplayer at the same time? Because only then, it will be an option you can select.

Loore, can you please tell me if there are any other benefits when using the racenet livery. Do the stats such as championships won only count using the livery or just making sure I have signed up to racenet?

I ask because I signed up and made a club a few days after I had already won quite a number of races but only have a couple of championships. I have completed 115 races, won 88 but only 2 championships.

Your club stats only count when using your club livery.
