Are the controls really this bad?
I bought GRID Autosport about a month ago in hopes of playing this game with a friend of mine that plays a lot or racing games. The both of us simply can not play this game. The controls are so bad on the steering. I am wondering if I have something wrong on my settings, or if the game really is this bad. I am not wanting to troll, but I am not happy buying a game that is not possible to play. I read good reviews for this, and I am very disappointed with myself in believing them. If someone has any info on what the problem is I would appreciate any help, or if I could get money back I would not feel as threw my money away.

Well 4 different controller types so far. Logitech F710, Two Microsoft XBOX One Controllers, Afterglow XBOX 360 Controller, and Microsoft XBOX 360 Controller. I believe it is not the controllers they all play the same. I am on Windows 10. I have tweaked in the advanced options the steering saturation for hours. Nothing seems to work. I really think it is just the game controls are really bad. Nothing seems consistent on how it handles around a turn. I've tried about everything. Just think the game was made this badly, but I see not too many questions about it so I am kinda confused.

there is nothing wrong with the controls in this game, i played with kb and pad and both works fine. The problem is probably from your computer

For me works very well with the Logitech g27 and Xbox 360 gamepad. Windows 10.
The game is very different to Grid or grid 2 autosport its more 'simulator' for this maybe you strange the controlls.

This game is awesome with JoyPads, you might need to tweak some in game settings, can you post a pic of them please?

The only thing that seamed to really help has been lowering the steering saturation.

If someone can tell me what the best settings for the least experienced player to just keep it on road please let me know.

The most recent racing game I have played before this has been Forza 6, but that is on the Xbox One so it could be just PC settings.

Or maybe it is just me. I have never had this much difficulty with Forza 6 with all of the assists turned off and in hard.

OK wanna know the truth?
You have all your assits on which hamper driving

Steering and cornering is what is ruining your game imo
I don't drive with any assists, I'll show you a vid I did today

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jz8ixGhCTYc

That vid was done real time so reflects if I have any assists
If you're finding it hard to drive, keep abs and traction control on, I think stability will be detremental to you too

See how you go, but deff turn off Steering and Cornering

First disable steering assist and try. I have only traction control activated.

As Snake said, shut all your assists off. ABS is optional.
I've only played this with a G27 but it didn't feel broken to me at all. I can play this no problem coming from Assetto Corsa. Grid has more of an arcade feel than AC but it still always feels good to me.

What can be achieved with smooth input and no assists

I tried it with someone else with abs and traction off. It seemed to handle better, but neither one of us could really compete with the AI. The AI just blew right by us. I think it just is that difficult.
