Long career mode is long

I like to complete every single race in the career mode of these games and in G1 and G2, this didn't take me too long. 35 hours in G1, and around 30 for G2.

And well, after putting in about 22 hours into G:AS's career so far, I'm surprisingly not even close to being halfway done, let alone finishing the career! Combine this was racing on Very Hard difficulty and doing practice and qualifying sessions when necessary (and they are required on very hard, no chance of cleanly getting through over a dozen cars in 5 minute races) and this career mode is certainly beefy.

And I can imagine the already 5 or 6 event seasons will only get longer as the career progresses. The first of the three overall "Grid" seasons has 10 separate events, and with some of those events having 2 races it's a challenge to get through in a few sittings, let alone one.

I'd estimate that 100%ing it anywhere under 60 hours would be a big challenge.

Maybe the game has been designed to have you skip seasons available in each type of racing and guide you towards only getting to level 10 in each class and doing certain seasons to gain specific achievements, but hey, this means the career caters to people who want to complete it quickly along with the crazy completionists out there.

I think this is a massive positive and is something that will keep this game going months into the future even if the multiplayer community shrinks as the game becomes less fresh. Kudos CM. :)

career is boring... online play is the way,

if only they add the qualifying will be perfect

trust me, career is usless without your team creation, race after race after race after race...boring

There are also Platinum trophies for every race which you can only get by winning with Ravenwest after you have won everything once already, so to fully complete it will be a huge undertaking.

I'm up to 45 hours and I'm only level 5 in everything except Tuner which I've done all the races but not platinumed and just finishing the first GRID event.
