In what controller setup do you guys race?
Keyboard/ Controller/ Steering wheel + pedals, shifter, etc?
What assists?

I myself use a Steering wheel with onwheel shifters and only use ABS. I've been testing some without ABS but it's too hard to be honest. One mistake in a turn and you cannot correct in the turn by breaking or you'll spin out :P

I wonder how many people race without ABS, I heard from fellow racers that it can actually help you go about 0,5-1 sec faster on a lap such as Hockenheim.

Xbox controller, only assist is ABS, unless you consider auto gears another assist.

I am an old keyboard driver. My preferred settings are "x" to accelerate, "c" to break, "cursor left" to steer left and "cursor down" to steer right. :-)

Wow, really? How quick are you compared to steering wheel drivers? Never seen that setup before (mouse and keyboard in a way haha) :teammate:
I use the Logitech G27 wheel. Sometimes i use the clutch and stick shift. Lately I really enjoy using the F1 shifters behind the wheel itself. I usually leave TC off as well.

(I haven't use the keyboard for driving since Bill Elliot Nascar game that was on the big ol floppy disk lol!)

Thrustmaster T16000M joystick. TC off, ABS on because I use buttons for throttle. Works like a charm!

Using a wheel here. If you want to get better without abs, you gotta turn it off. ;). Learn to use your downshifting to assist in slowing for corners so you don't have to be to heavy on the brake.
I run a keyboard with WASD for my controls. Leaves me a free right hand. Maybe not to touch myself, but food and drink is good.

To compare that with other racers, I have 643 races with 603 podiums, 511 wins, 495 fastest laps and 565 laps lead. Yeah, keyboards are still decent peripherals.

Oh, and to edit: I race automatic with ABS on. Everything else is off.

Logitech G25 wheel using the paddles to shift (got stick in sequential configured as handbrake). Racing in cockpit view with all assists off and sequential shifting.

360 controller, ABS only.

Well, in Colin McRae Rally 2.0, Race Driver GRID and GRID 2 I was for sure one of the best even with the keyboard. In Autosport it seems to be some more tricky with the keyboard. I still do not feel up to it much. O.o
