FULL tuning should be available to everyone from day one.
The way it's set up now is silly.
I might have to try and run some 0-100 and 100-0 tests.
The strangest car of all is the Ariel V8. With the engine upgrade my top speed was reduced by almost 15 mph. Just crazy. Also, by the time you get a car to level 50, the maintenance repairs are so insanely high its just not worth keeping. When you win a race and get $15,000 then spend $60,000 just to keep the car running thats a problem.
One other thing. Just for fun I drove a car with 0% straight across left on maintenance. I won all 3 races. The car ran as it always does even though it shouldnt have run at all.
Note sure what CM is doing with upgrades but it's a mess.
P.S., Downforce on a car like the T1 actually makes handling worse, not better,
I also noticed a loss of power after a engine upgrade, cant remember which car, but i was grinding a track, after the new engine was in place i lost around 10 kmph in every corner.
And i cant say i notice the upgrades doing anything good either, i do however notice the tuning aspect.
I can't understand that, too. What codemasters want from us with the repair/reward system on 50+ car level...
As for tuning aspect greatest impact makes gear ratio fine tuning getting most accleration and top speed of out of it is ofc very map spesific.
