i cant invite my freind to the lobby

im inviting my freind and it dosent work

Use the steam overlay instead of the in-game friend screen. I've found the in-game invite requires a public lobby to invite, but steamworks allows private sessions to be joined.

Both of you should restart your games and try the above.

I've found once an invite handshake fails, any retries get gummed up and the only fix is for both parties to restart. Its really unfortunate when running a 4 man premade
