That one stupid guard in the museum heist...

Every time i want to do the museum of art heist silently and get to the room where that has the security room and that is connected to two of the art exhibitions i try to shoot the camera but the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ next room always hears it, and i need to waste a phone scanner on him that is supposed to be used for the guard upstairs. I just want to know if there is a way to destroy the camera in that room so i can get to the security room and also kill the guy upstairs.

If you shoot the camera while the guard is in a certain spot he won't notice the camera being destroyed. I believe it's (if you imagine the room with the mona lisa being north) his position on the south-west of the room, if not that then probably the north-west/north-east.
Start with shooting the camera when he gets to his south-east position and, if that doesn't work, just work your way down the list of positions from there.

I've had the same problem

Just use the phone scanner on the front desk for the upstairs guy, that's what I always do

Or dodge the guy that patrols through the break room. Follow him out (after he peeks over his shoulder) and head down to the basement.

Pagers I use:

1. Guard in the hall outside the utility key pickup (if not using battering ram), scanner in same hall.
   
2. Guard in the pillar pre-vault room that investigates my shot camera, scanner in the break room
   
3. Security room guard, scanner in room
   
4. Upstairs vault room guard, scanner under the shot camera outside security room.

I just only kill the guard that is next to the office with the keycard needed, the cctv guard, the guard that walk on the second floor around the mona lisa, and one roaming guard roaming around the loot.

it's a thin vertical rectangular shape coloured in black with a green led. It's used to check in with guard's phone when you kill them. Their positions never changes and when you pick up an active phone you'll see through walls where they are.

Small tip, as long as you hold the phone, even checked in, you can still see the other "phone scanners" as long as you don't drop it.
