the ending?

i just finshed the game with ghost monk and what just happend? i walk to the warlock and then float up into the sky aand now im on a mountain wut. is that my reward for beating the spam happy fish f*ckery boss? what why eh?

yeah, the seals are pretty cool, but the ending still make no sense.

Would be cool, if the ending reveals a bit more of the background-story, extends or changes a little for every seal the community managed to break.

My theory was that Katrien cannot kill the Warlock since she's his creation. By interrupting his nightmares she gets sent back up. It's just a guess here, but I assume Pincoya and Ghost Monk are a part of his story, just like how before the game even begins we're introduced to a book with a seal that contains everything. Assuming this book belongs to the warlock and hence you have access to his journal, perhaps everyone including the humans are a part of his nightmare.

dosent that just make the entire game a dream? if so then... thats kinda ♥♥♥♥♥.

all the characters are aspects of the warlock's dream. The warlock wakes up from his dream right before he goes to sleep. idk why you survive the dream. it doesn't matter. He falls back to sleep shortly after anyways.

Not only do the journal entries shed light on characters but the journal itself is having an effect on both the dream world and waking world. You should question as many of the arbitrary elements as possible so you can resolve them to their "less arbitrary" truths. Why are there masks in the first place and what do seals actually seal? Why is there a seal on the journal?

After you beat the warlock you go back up ontop of a mountain to watch over the town (you see the stuff in the background also im sure it shows nonplayable starting spots as well) because you have stopped the nightmare - for now, it seems you are like "I am the protector of this land" Kindof like you are batman or something. know what I mean?
