Help with Magix Music Maker 2014 Premium
Hi, does anyone know if its possible to play drums on the software keyboards? When I click the KEYBOARD tab and select drums I'm able to play one drum type (kick bass or whatever) at a time but I would like to assign keys for bass, snare, hi hat etc so I can play the different sounds all at once on the same keyboard. Is this possible?

It depends on the software instrument you are using. If it's a drum set then you will be able to play bass, snare, etc., but you can't assign keys (AFAIK).

Hi, I figured out a way to use keyboard with Drum Engine. I just don't know how to make the keypad go to lower keys. As default they range from A-\ on the keyobard but the drums only work on unassigned keys. So I have to click with them mouse instead of use keys. Would be much easier to use keys on keyboard. Is there a way to switch octaves or something to use the lower keys?

AFAIK you cant. Yeah, it sucks (pertaining to the absence of an option to configure unassigned key buttons). If you use a MIDI controller though, you can easily switch octaves by transposing the keys.

Page Up & Page Down changes octaves. It's in the manual.

If I purchase the rock drums would I be able to play them using keys? Basically, drum along how I want to other tracks that I've recorded?

Not sure how page up or down changes octaves. Doesn't work by just pressing them anyway.

AFAIK, you can only play the fifth octave except for C if you play solely with your pc keyboard. I don't have Rock Drums but based on the video, its layout is very similar to Jazz Drums (w/c i have), so I'm guessing you can only play one of the hanging toms, crash cymbals, and splash cymbals with your PC keyboard.

That's ridiculous. Is there no fluid way to play drums on this software without buying external midi drumsets? No clickable drums or keys? Makes no sense. How do people uuse drums on this software?

Play inside the built-in midi editor. The transpose keys (page up, page down) works there. Make C1 your middle C so you can play by using "Q-[" and "1-0".
