Creating Custom Soundpools with other sets of loops - some work, some dont

So I had a bunch of loops from another program (ejay) that were stored in roughly the same folder names as the soundpools here so I renamed a few that were different and pointed the program to it using "Add Styles" and lo it picked up a fair percentage of the folders I'd made with a few problems:
* most of my import styles had a folder for "bass" but none of my wavs in this folder seemed to import into the "bass" instrument for that style, despite them being avail and playable from the file manager
* some entire styles are totally empty not sure why

Just curious - they are all .wav and I presume they are all in the same format since they all came from the same disc. I know I can get them from the My MP3s area but they play better from soundpools so is there a way to create a custom 'style' and force the folders to go where I want? Or is there something specific that will stop them, like certain types of wav or whatever.

It's not entirely important but it just looks nice having them all color coded n happy in the soundpool. Mostly they worked though, curious that a few folders and one or two entire styles didnt, I can't figure out why.

If I put the folders in the 'Soundpools' direcory in steam will that make any difference, I've got them sitting on my desktop at the mo - just to see if i could get them to import at all. coz, y'know... 5k more sounds is fun to play with :)
