Tutorial Glitch on First Lesson

I completed the SS tutorial, so thought I would try the Sentinels tutorial just to compare them. My first task was to move to "the arrow" but I could not see any arrow and also could not move the camera around to search for one. Seems strange that the older game tutorial worked fine and that I could not even perform the very first movement required in the newer game. Anyone else have this issue or an idea as to what the problem may be?

Yep just encoutered the same problem here can't move camera.

Maybe it is no big deal since I suspect the game plays the same as the previous game. I haven't tried to play the game itself, but I hope there are no problems there. It is just a little concerning when the first part of the tutorial doesn't work...heh...Wonder if running in Win 98 mode makes any difference since these games are about ten years old now...I do feel somewhat better knowing I am not the only one getting this glitch <g>

Yeah, same here, I could not complete the tutorial for Sentinels either, I encountered the same glitch :/

ju,ping in on this 1 year later just to say... bug still exists in sentinels. it is only in the tutorial, so skip the tutorial and u will be fine

The problem does exist and will be. In Sentinels, some ported maps have no waypoints (points of interests for the game script, used primarily to run commands) and the tutorial map is no exception. It can be fixed by a mod or patch, though. The problem is of no importance as this tutorial works pretty fine in SIlent Storm, so if you have never played the game before or just want to refresh some memories,you should install SS and play tutorial map and the game itself.
However, this is the only "gamebreaking" bug I know of. Another one – dropping an oil-can –could crash your game, but there is a very small chance you would ever want to drop it.
The game is playable and even perfect if you can enjoy it.
