Silent Storm Sentinels

Silent Storm Sentinels

Where is Hammer & Sickle?
It was basically the next iteration of Silent Storm Sentinels and it was fantastic. I ended up getting Silent storm 2 mainly because I can't find a digital download for Hammer & Sickle where I pay a reputable dealer.

Any chance Hammer & Sickle will make it to steam? If "Know Da Way Meme's" can be sold on steam, there's no reason why Hammer & Sickle isn't.

I did find a review of Hammer & /sickle which said that the game was so buggy that it wasn't worth getting but i've not been able to find a dowload to test that review. It certainly was negative in conclusion.
I had it back in the day. It was really just Silent Sentinel with an interesting 1949 setting and a focus on disabling enemies over killing. I remember blinding people or making enemies panick or drop their guns allot.

Personally don't recall many bugs but I had this game second hand from EB games back in like 2008 or 2009. The same bugs from SS were in H&S. Things like guns not lined up or nades not lined up with hands at times. Or the odd streatchy dead bodie.

Just like silent Sentinels the voice acting is definitely a foreign localisation and not A game stuff. But it's what I expect from an indi russian developer. The game really is the same but with minor improvements to UI and a tweaking of enemy amounts (more), moral, and more chances for status effects like dropping a gun or being blinded by an explosion if facing it. It also had a branching story based on your choice and performance in some missions. It could be short but was worth at least a second go.

I played it a few times years ago, I didnt find many bugs, but a lot of this content about disabling enemies I dont remember.

I still should have it on my old hard drive and im currently waiting for an SATA/IDE adapter so I can play it again.

You should be able to find a DVD copy on Ebay or some other second hand place

It could be buggy on modern OSs, but back in the days it works smooth on win XP for me. Actually, I could play it on win 7 even today, but it requires couple of patches. I am using copy of game folder which was installed via official DVD about 10 years ago and updated with nocd crack, lol.

Yeah I got around to playing it. I think it's basically Silent Sentinels 2, but better. Shame it isn't on steam. I like the blinding mechanic. I'm supprised reviews are so hard on it considering it's so similar to SS2 which had good reviews and was released like a year earlier.

Gameplay is more updated in HS: inventory items weight count, time of day mechanic wich is crucial for some events, more detective / spy approach to some tasks (mocking up documents, changing uniforms etc), reworked weapon balance (pistols are hand cannons, lol), characters are characters perk wise (girl had many medic perks, but she is soldier) and diologue wise. But no panzerkleins, which is kinda sad for me. But more variety in playthrough and endings, which is kinda great for me. Well, one of my most playable games over years.

Just want to quickly mention, that ATM the security system placed onto the DVD version has corrupted my windows installation the last 2 times i have installed it, so it looks like the pirated/cracked versions are the way to go.
Works fine on my windows 7. Are you Win10?

Yeah, however im pretty sure I tried it on Win7 too, maybe its just me :( (its just the protection system on the DVD, although I havent tried the actual game yet)
I have had other games like StangleHold where a fresh copy from the store did not work because of a Digital Restrictions Management glitch. Despite having a brand new plastic sealed legal copy.

SWAT 4 had the same problem. It was an actual glitch with a earlier DRM system used by some games :( ....

As I loved Silent Storm, I just found Hammer&Sickle. I bought the CD Version (really cheap on ebay) as I couldn't find any crack on google. So don't install the protection drivers, it will straight crash your windows and you will be forced to reset everything. Now that I have face and solved this issue by installing the NO CD Crack, it says unsupported video card (RTX 2080)... And I don't know what to do (compatibilty mode doesn't work). If anyone wants the ISO I can give it to them

That might help?

I hope it works on my new GTX 1070. At least it works on my laptop with integrated GPU:steamhappy: if it doesn't work and on my new desktop GPU, and I fix it; I'll share how.

The DRM isn't supported past XP, the game is compatible with Win 7 however. So unfortunately some kind of work around is required.

There is an online guide I used to get it working on Windows 10 with GTX 1060 - to get the video card working I had to install some legacy drivers. {LINK REMOVED}
Hope this helps :)

Edit: it seems the link isnt showing up - which is fair enough as it is pirating a game (however this game literally cannot be played without pirating)

I just googled 'Download hammer and sickle game'
The website was igg-games
