I thought American Wasteland was the game that started the entire franchise's downfall. Yeah, I thought it was awful. Plagued with excessive tutorials and hand-holding even right near the end which gets no better when played on the hardest difficulty, it felt like a major disappointment compared to the Underground games before it, especially Underground 2 which never held your hand and is still IMO where the series peaked.
For context, I had zero nostalgia for either the PS2 version of Pro Skater 4 or American Wasteland. (I grew up with THPS4 on PS1, but that was a different game entirely) Despite this, I still found THPS4 to be a highly enjoyable game with challenging objectives and fun levels, both of which THAW lacked almost completely.
Srsly, wtf OP lmao
straight from the post in the news feed, they didnt remove career mode lmao the wording on the site is very awfully put.
so the fact that they properly worded things on the steams news post tells you otherwise,
plus we have no idea how the games going to be worked until youtubers streamers and fake journalist reviews get their copies in june or april.
Interesting, we have Kotaku saying they confirmed with Activision that it won't have the original career mode: https://kotaku.com/thps-3-4-tony-hawks-pro-skater-3-4-career-mode-timer-1851768305
And from that very same blog article:
"The parks from THPS3 and THPS4 have been authentically remade in jaw dropping 4K resolution* with streamlined goals in a two minute format..."
There's no need for a remake.
