There are multiple online sources confirming THPS4 original career mode is not present in this remake. This is what they are referring to.

I don't know why people is complaing about don't having the career mode of the THPS 4, you can just play the free skate session.

I think the game has more consistency if they keep 3 and 4 stages following the same game design/approach. Maybe the 'new game +' is the original career mode of the thps 4, who knows.

THPS 4 did not have a regular 2 min career mode. The 'regular' career mode was open-ended in that game.

That is equivalent to saying "Here's an authentic Skyrim remaster, but by the way we took out all the story and replaced it with some 2 minute goals instead. But don't worry, you can still look around in free explore mode!"

This is not about consistency -- it's about authenticity to the original game which this game fails at despite being advertised as a true, like for like, remake.
