Lots of issues: GPU utilization, challenges, graphics settings
When selecting the black track it still shows the challenges for the blue one (only after actually confirming (e.g. pressing A) and going to the next screen, then cancelling (e.g. B) it will show the challenges for black track.
(And I'm aware it shows the blue track in the screenshot, but selecting black one and taking a screenshot results in the blue one being selected again)

Just being in the game's menu puts the GPU at 100 % which is bad (no matter if I select low or high settings, on a RTX 3080)

Also changing one of the settings in e.g. graphics via controller will jump to the first entry in the list again instead of just staying with the setting you were chaning.
E.g. chaning cloud quality to high and confirming with A will jump to the resolution setting afterwards.

Lastly setting the preset to high does not set two options to high, I think clouds and something else.

EDIT: According to the Steam FPS Overlay the frame rate limit also doesn't work I have mine set to my monitors refresh rate in the game settings (165 HZ) and the FPS overlay shows e.g. 200+ fps in the menu.
And I also had to set the screen resolution again, because it didn't save it between restarts of the game.
Changing resolution, then refresh rate, then applying will also only set the resolution, refresh rate will be reset, so you have to set refresh rate again and apply.
(And I have the game set to German, but when closing the game the saving text is in English)

Thank you for reporting these issues. Let me go over them all:
1. This is a known issue and we're working on getting a fix in soon
2. That shouldn't happen on an RTX 3080 for sure. Can you give me some details here:
- Do you have VSync enabled
- What refresh rate do you have set?
3. This is a known bug too and we're working on a fix for it too.
4. We're not aware of that issue. Did you change clouds after changing the quality preset but before applying the overall graphics settings?

About the Edit:
- Thanks, okay that would explain the 100% GPU usage. However, that is also not great. So it doesn't save the refresh rate. It might be connected to another bug reported today and I will discuss this with the team. Thank you for reporting this again

2. No VSync is off.
4. See this video (The link only works for 2 days, so if you might need it longer download it, Steam Screen Share is an UI hell...)

Yeah I'm trying to set it to 60 FPS I will have to do it manually I guess. Steam is currently registering around 180 FPS which melts my gaming laptop.

Without VSync the game will try to render as many frames as possible on your GPU so the GPU utilization will be 100%

We're investigating the settings issues and hope to get a fix for all of them in soon.

But I'm setting a frame rate cap in the settings.
VSync means it's not updating frames in the middle of the screen rendering a frame.
Usually one would set a frame cap, turn off VSync and let GSync or FreeSync do the rest for the best experience.
Thanks for looking into it, not that huge of deal breaks as the game is still playable

Yeah it does that by synchronizing the frame rate of the game with your monitor's refresh rate. Unity games only work with gsync and freesync when vsync is off and its set to exclusive fullscreen, not borderless window.

Then I have done everything right, VSync off, Fullscreen, activated GSync.
Now only the frame cap needs to work, so the GPU isn't doing more work than it needs to
i cant even get in the game. Stuck at loading " Initializing loading process"

Another bug in case you didn't know, when you alt-tab to desktop while the game is running, GPU utilization also goes to 100% (i forced the game to run at 60hz, but natively im at 144hz)

Same issue here, did you get it working?

Same. After waiting for 5 minutes on my Steam Deck with no progress, I uninstalled the demo.

Verify the game integrity?
I'm loving the game, but yeah the graphics settings needs a massive update... The refresh rate setting is not doing anything... it doesn't matter what hz I set it, the game always goes for my native 144hz. And yeah the game is really GPU heavy, I hope it gets soon fixed. I have 3070 and on high settings my GPU fans get crazy

I'm having the same issue. I'll enable Vsync, but if possible can you implement a menu frame cap?

My 4080 super at 100% almost gave me a heart attack. I thought for sure I was having hardware issues, until I saw the utilization.
