Spelling Puzzle (Help)

Im Deaf/HoH and I know having subtitles in this instance would ruin the point of the game, but I genuinely cant understand what hes saying after the word demon

All the words are: Demon, children, prison, between, transcendence, mortality, ambition, time

i was able to figure out all of them except for transcendence and between somehow, Thank you! Idk why sometimes i just have the hardest time understanding what someone is trying to say

Thank goodness! "Ambition" sounds *exactly* like "Condition" to me, even knowing what it's supposed to be, and "Mortality" is an unintelligible jumble of phonemes that sound vaguely German.

We had to find the proper balance between the intended weird spelling and the actual word to make the puzzle interesting and challenging. The speak & spell is supposed to be affected by the curse.

Tip: during development, we got 2/3 words removed because they were too much distorted. You can imagine!

LOL i totally respect that, but man as a deaf/HOH person that was a huge road block it took me a long time to get a few of them lol, I'm very stubborn and a completionist at heart so it hurt to have to take a break unfortunately
