How is the multiplayer?
Hi, I'm thinking of buying this game, but I would like to know how the multiplayer is working, I saw a lot of reviews and videos, but there are some things that I don't know.

Is it very active, like thousand of people playing? and there is a hardcore mode with no orientation of where the ball will hit and things like that?

Some years ago I used to play CUE online which is now deactivated, since then Pool Nation seems to be the best in the market.. xD

All I can say: stop thinking just buy this game.
Join some groups and u will have no problems to find a game every evening.
If u want to play without any help....your first group should be "aim-aid off"

MP is a little quiet but you only need one other person to get a game going. If I see no lobby to join I set one up and someone usually joins within minutes. It's also very easy to set up a game and invite someone on your friends list to play.

If you want to play a bit hard core you'll find like minded people in this group

Hello. Game is really great and I recommend it to you. There aren't a lot of people in multiplayer but you can join steam group and easily find people to play with or just create the room and wait for someone to join (usually it takes about 5min). About hardcore mode - yes, there is aiming aid off mode and most of the people play in that way.

To sum up, you should buy this game, that's it. :-)

Yeah, not many people on multiplayer at the moment. But, when you find someone to play with, it's really fun. I even once got into a match with a developer.

i see one or two players every once in a while.
it's not nearly as active as most of these fanboys would have you believe.
also, the one or two times that i have played with strangers they were ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, wouldn't stop running their mouths.
you will be much happier with the multi-player if you just get a partner or two to play with routinely, rather than search for random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on steam...

No one in this thread has said that maultiplayer is active, lol. Why are you so mad? Calm down, lol. Everyone I have ran into on multiplayer has been really kind and fun to play with. I guess you just had a bad experience.

The problem is, we all have our own "click per se' " already established from years and years of gaming with people all around the world, most are still playing on an every day basis with people they already know, I know there is already a "Official Group" 1 can join, but even then it's a bit daunting trying to find people in your own timezone;

but if you have teamspeak III already installed, you can always connect too:

4.79.145.132:9135

its up 24/7 and there are various people from varios timezones that actually do Play and enjoy this game, that teamspeak server is simple, make / create your own rooms, moderate them yourself and don't impeed or abuse the privileges and it becomes your home too..

theres even a TSBot that plays audio into the channels for room moderators "meaning you if you created it", that you can play streams through.

and if you want webcam support we also have a teamtalk-4 server, ( same as teamspeak but w/ video cam support)

Just buy it and play casually with your friends or with a few people you befriend from anywhere on the internet. 3 dollars for THE PC POOL game isn't very steep.

Can you play with more than 2 people per lobby or is it strictly 1v1?

at the moment it's 1v1 but they've said they'll add spectator mode, winner stays on, doubles, than kind of thing. I don't know when it's due though. Atm it's 1v1 :)

Is it currently possible to just to spectate / observe an online game, without signing up for any "winners stay" challenges?
