Is there any kind of single-player modes in Pool Nation?

I was an avid pool and billiard player, but since retiring, my hips have kept me from playing. I like to push the balls around in games like this, but in Pool Nation, I have yet to find an actual single-player mode that isn't just an annoying trick shot mode.

Is there anything resembling a single-player mode? I'd settle for just a few balls and a cue ball, as I like to experiment with positional shooting.

i play single-player all the time, game is prety much ok.
but you might have a look at virtual pool too, more options there.

Virtual pool 3 was my main game back in the dayz, played it all the time.

Thanks! I looked at Virtual Pool, and now it's in my Library. Great version of pool playing.

@tom, I'm glad you found a game that works for you. But this is an awesome pool sim, very realistic visuals and sounds and nice gameplay. It's great for listening to your own music while playing. "Single player" is the very first tab, and "free play" is like sixth in the list of tabs on the main menu page. I'm not sure how you missed that. It has several tournaments and goals to work on, and a pretty interesting cast of characters that you play against. :D

Sorry for bring the dead back to life. I meant I wanted to play by myself; not vs computer-generated opponents. I didn't miss those options; they weren't what I was looking for. Thanks anyway.

That's fine and everything, but "single-player" mode is specifically what you asked about--including the concept of hitting the ball around by yourself, not against AI, which is the "free play" mode....(which is actually the 7th tab on the list). If neither of those options is what you were looking for, I guess I don't understand your question.
