Director's Cut adds new scenes where you play as Nicole. You see the story from the perspective of both characters.
to me its like "what is the best version of this game?" it seems reforged might be a bit inferior to directors cut if a lot of new content is missing
The reforged version is based on the original PC version and will also feature some scenes that were created for the original game but have never been included before.

Not a big fan of the additional content in Director's cut to be honest. It doesn't add that much in the end, and especially the DC beginning is much more slow-burn compared to the the original. Best of both worlds would be of course a DC reforged version where you can turn off the additional content :D I'm really tempted to play this finally with a "lossless" graphic
Quite a lot of script was cut for DC, basicly every dialogue in game was cut in some way, they also removed some animations and cutscenes, removed a goat puzzle and all ways you can die and puzzles where you can die.
DC does add Nico sections which some people dont like, and they do mess up intro which was classic.
They had the opportunity to make the definitive version of Broken Sword by adding the additional content of DC to this Reforged but without cutting any of the original content (which was done in DC because it was taken from the Game Boy version, so due to hardware limitations and the new graphic interface).
They could have also simply put both intros.
It wasn't that difficult to make the player choose.
They could, but they didn't. A real shame because a "real" Director's Cut would have been the apotheosis.
I hope they implement it later but I see it as difficult.
