needs multiplayer or not buying....

The FAQ had this toi say:
Yes, both are planned. However, multiplayer still needs a little time to cook, so it won’t be available at the Early Access launch. We aim to introduce it as soon as possible in one of the upcoming updates. Both single-player and multiplayer will have separate worlds and populations, meaning they won’t overlap. Both modes are planned to support persistent worlds, but each will function independently within its own experience.

In the Dev Steam we had this:
- the multiplayer modes will give players more things to do And it will be added gradually
- Multiplayer is planned to be more realistic and to have 4 people in a lobby

The provisional Roadmap on the FAQ also talks about More Multiplayer Modes.
We likely will know more when a more Detailed Roadmap is shared next week

Game expected release date is in six months, I am sure it will be there by then. So you have time before you decide to buy or not.

It will already be added during the Early Access Phase
