Definitely not the right place to ask... but don't know where else to go...

So... I am not sure if I should be asking this here, but I don't know where else to go for help... I bought the game here and on DLsite, it seems that this version is indeed cut, but the one I have from DLsite doesn't work on my computer... I have Windows 11, and my system is in my native language, not English, but I already changed the administrative language, and still nothing... I can go to the character creation screen, but any other option is a constant black screen, does anyone know what I can do? And sorry for asking this here, but not sure where I should go for help...

Did you try changing admin language to Japanese?

For some reason, Locale Emulator doesn't automatically recognise the exe file. OP may have to try adding it manually, if it's possible.

Thanks for the help guys, and I think I found a solution: Locale Remulator, the Locale Emulator had a limitation on the x64 bit programs but this other version works perfectly, no need to change settings on my pc anymore!!

It only works with Japanese locale? wondering about this myself, about to buy from dlsite instead of Steam as well.

EDIT: Doesn't seem like I needed any special locale stuff, it all worked fine. For downloading update i had to manually patch files instead of use the installer/patcher but i did that for koi sunshine too so doesn't rly matter.

I bought the DLSite one and I haven't been able to get it to work. I just tried the Locale remulator and still fails. I've redownloaded twice. I keep getting Data1.cab error that I can't read. I changed install locations as well and made sure everything was in the right folders. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Unpack the DL Site file. Copy the Setup folder to the root of your C drive, so to: C:\setup
Run the set up from there. Install similarly to the C drive say: C:\illgames\honeycome once installed you can move the honeycome installation directory to whichever drive you usually use for games. Delete the set up directory, etc., from your C drive.

you need to unpack the game, that's what your license key was for too.

It's a well documented issue that Illusion's installer doesn't work on all systems. The sure fire fix is as I stated. If you're getting a "corrupted" or "file can't open" error, you need to unpack on the root of the C drive. It has nothing to do with a license key.
