To be fair, it's only $50 if you're not in Japan and are taking advantage of the weak yen and site specific sales. For us 8800 JPY is still 8800 JPY even if that equates to 60 USD to you. On the flipside, when the yen eventually stabilises and 8800 falls nearer to 90 USD, the Steam price will be cheaper for you. That's the joy of exchange rates. Make the most of them!

Unless modders like STN or Marco come up with some patches/repacks and the vanilla game become totally compatible with BepinEx for ports (ik it's already is in some degree) I don't think it's reasonable to buy at this point. Just like what happened to Starfield.

Idk how to feel about being forced to have internet connection, truly suspicious. Yes, it looks better than Koi at some level but for what cost? That's the point. I'd rather hold onto Koi/HS2/AI for a while instead of buying this quite vanilla game.

I am pretty sure illgames's end goal or true intent is to make something like com3d2. To sell official mods etc. To make the game more self-sustainable. It's kinda understandable for the long run though. This is the reason why KISS still stands today unlike Illusion.
