Beware of the Beast quest bug?

I have placed all the bait, and it says to talk to Otomai's Apprentice again. The compass says he's in the cave, but he is not there. He is also not at his original location in Astrub. If this is bugged, a fix would be appreciated. Is there possibly a way to reset a quest if there's no fix for it.

Hey, when you enter the cave, are you going to the left room? There's a tile you can step on that opens the gate, the NPC should be there.

I will try that. I thought I went to that side of the cave, but I may not have stepped on the tile. I didnt see any interactables so i left. I'll check it out, thanks :)

It worked. Thank you so much....now I just need to level up a bit before killing it :D
