Hi Teruk,
The upgrade system basically allows you to buy parts that will ultimately make your car faster and more able to compete with the AI. When you start out, your parts are only stock, thus you basically feel like a startup team. When you start getting some good finishes, you are then able to use the money you earned to upgrade your engine, chassis, body, suspension, etc. Then you are then making your car better and faster and are more able to compete for wins and the Sprint Cup title. Hope this helps.
i can feel these upgrades very well. after the engine and suspension upgrade my lap time are more than 1 second lesser as before. for example at michigan the 1st race i finished 30th and second race in the season i fight over the victory. starts with 65%-70% difficulty and rice higher to the end of season
I've noticed myself that when you race at anything under 70%, its easier to be competitive. I will say though that we are working on improving the AI for our upcoming patch so the AI difficulty and behavior should be much different than what you are racing with at the moment. I would recommend racing at levels at 75% and up. Thats where I have noticed the parts and development aspect of the career mode really works, at least from my perspective.
When you go to the schedule and select the race, after you select your paint scheme, there is a menu that shows you the parts you want to use for the race. Thats where you can select your "Improved Engines, etc".
i have the same problem.its the same with the maps! i have bought the fuel map but i cant take that in the menu before the race.
and i missing the sound at start of the race " gentlemen, staaaaarrttt your engines " thats very sad !!!!
another nice option for the race shop is, there where a hall for the victory trophys. you only see them at the intro of a race... thats to short for this nice detail
these are only some ideas for the next update
In the Races my Problem is not the Speed in Qualyfing, i can get Pole if i want. Last Texas, getting Pole, but in the Race no chance to hold Position, if there isn´t Room, no Problem for the Ai they make the Room to overtake. For me the Ai is to agressive, some People may like it ok i understand. But in my Eyes it would be nice to have an Option how aggresive other Cars drive on the Track. I like it if the Race is difficult, but don´t like it if other Cars crash me from the Track. I know that the traffic is my Problem and i think there are more Players with that Problem, seen it in Lets Plys on YouTube. So it would be nice if the Ai slows down a bit if its getting close (Start, Middle and End of a Corner). I think this problem can be avoided if i slow them in the Race a little bit down in Corners if they are directly behind a Player. Players that wants that, can take that as an Extra Option in the Difficulty Menu.
Second i seen many Times that AI-Drivers come into Pit 1 or 2 Rounds before the Race ends. EXAMPEL: A crash 10 Rounds before the Race ends. With max Fuel i can drive 10 Rounds, so i come into Pit, now i didn´t need another Stop to finish the Race. Some AI-Cars stop too, but not all, 2 Rounds before the Race ends some AI-Drivers starting to Pit. At this Time i easy make many Postions. I think it can not be so difficult to tell the AI Drivers how long they can drive on each Track with max Fuel. If there is a break (Yellow FLAG) and they see, they can finish the Race if they goes into Pit now, all Drivers should do that. in my Exampel i made 8 Position in the last 2 Laps because many Drivers starts to Pit in the last Rounds.
OH SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH, isn´t the best!
I get what your saying in terms of selecting the maps, the improved engines etc. We have been made aware that when you select the engines, you can only go as far as the superspeedway improved engine. I believe this is something we've fixed but I have to go back and ask the team for confirmation of that.
You know, I had those same thoughts about a trophy room as well as the ole "gentlemen, start your engines". No joke. I'll send those suggestions to the team.
That's exactly my issue. I can only go so far as the improved superspeedway engine. So I'm assuming this is a bug, then? Hopefully it will be fixed soon!
Yes, this is a bug that we're aware of. I've personally experienced this issue myself.
This is something I'll forward to the team as a feature suggestion for the future.
