I use Nascar 2003 with Gen 6 mod. Crashes rarely happen for me. Usually I cause it for get in contact with another vehicle. I run at 90% difficulty
AI wrecks in NASCAR '14, I would think, would be based on individual driver ratings as well. This is something you CANNOT adjust in this game. AI wrecks will happen when they happen. I ran the ENTIRE Daytona 500 as soon as I downloaded and installed this game.
200 laps and only 1 caution when I spun entering turn 1 on lap 193.
Just type this into your browser, you'll see lots: nascar racing 2003 mods
Just as an example, this is what I have in my nr2003, try them and see what you think..
First, I would HIGHLY recommend you get the Gen 6 mod from Bullring Motorsports at www.bigdonlineracing.com.
Updated tracks from either Revamped-Reloaded or Safer Barrier Project.
You can also get the 2014 Drivers from www.nnracing.com.
You can get the Jimmy Johnson spotter sound pack. This will replace the default spotter and the default "Gentlemen Start Your Engines", at DWarehouse.
If anything, you need to get NRatings from www.tjeuten.be/software/nratings. This will allow you to set the offline AI controlled drivers to their real life counterparts.
Like hgwmrnorm had said above, type nascar racing 2003 mods into your search browser and you will be amazed, as I was, at the wealth of websites and info that are out there for nr2003.
There are EXRTEMELY talented people out there in the sim racing community that put their work out there for all to enjoy....mostly, free of charge.
I have invested a ton of time to dial in my nr2003 to what I have today and it was well worth it. Like I said earlier, the racing is second to none.
Good luck, and most importantly, have fun!!!! :)
