Eutechnyx has already released more than one bad NASCAR game.

A lot of people don't know, but Eutechnyx was screwing up NASCAR games way before "2013". Anybody who played NASCAR 2011 on Xbox, PS3 or the Wii will tell you that this company has been releasing unfinished, buggy games like this long before they made their transition to the PC.

NASCAR 2011 was another unfinished release that hit the store shelves with a laundry list of known bugs and totally broken multiplayer. The company knew this, and thought they could fix everything during a "release day patch" which was supposed to fix the game enough so that multiplayer was at least playable. Sound familiar? Unfortunately for everyone, Eutechnyx failed to fix even the most basic issues (AI brake checking, bunching in corners, rubber-banding). With their message boards spilling over with complaints, they promised that a new patch would finally fix all the mistakes. 3 months later, that second patch came out and not only did it fail to fix the original issues, but it actually made the game worse! Again, sound familiar? A third and final patch came out more than 9 months after the initial release and by then, the fans had left in droves. Read the official message boards and see for yourself...

I'm a huge racing fan and an avid race gamer. But, it makes me feel sick to my stomach seeing a sport that I love be treated like this. NASCAR needs to take the product license away from this company and hand it over to a developer that actually cares about the sport and can deliver a solid successor to NASCAR 2003.

We have waited long enough!

I couldn't have said it any better. This "game" is a joke! NASCAR should strip the product license away. To release any game to the public that is SO far away from being finished is unexceptable. I'd like a full refund please.

NASCAR games are like the racing game equivalent to games based on movies, you have to dig through a lot of crap to find a piece of corn.

However, once you have found one, you still just have a piece of corn covered in crap, so overall the entire experience was not worth it. It's better to just stay away.

part of the problem is etx is the developer AND the publisher. who is there for them to answer to? themselves? yeah, ok. also with etx having the licensing no one else can make a nascar game giving them a monopoly, so there is no worry of getting better or making a better game, there isn't any competition. so they get to say so what about a half-developed game. do you think if forza 5 or grand tourismo had this many bugs, they would still sell more copies than ridge racer? but take all the other racing games away but one and watch game quality suffer.
i am however still enjoying the game, despite the problems, but am anxiously awaiting an update to fix the many many bugs. or at least news of when to expect the update, or that they are working on it, or that they are aware(i know they are), or that they give the slightest hint of care about their gamers. this is my first nascar game since thunder but i have spent many many hours on forza, gt, and fia world gt. with forza and gt there were updates every week until they got it right. annoying to wait for a download when all you want to do is race but better than playing a buggy game.

I am fed the hell up with companies claiming to "appeal to the hard core race fan"...my ass.

NR2003 has set the bar in the sim racing genre. Since then, no other NASCAR titled game has even come close. In fact, all others failed miserably.

I'm done with this game and I'm going back to nr2003.

Perfect, a free weekend. I can see if it will run without crashing on my PC. 2012 did, drove me nuts. Can't play it at all.
