Issues with Graphics
Okay so I run on a Windows 7 that has clearly seen better days. Not exactly meant for top-of-the-line graphics. As such, I need to turn the graphics down in order to do ANYTHING. That's always a priority, regardless of the game.

Sadly, any adjusment made whatsoever to graphics will crash the game entirely almost instantly after I click 'yes'. Frustrating. Done this multiple times. Nothing. I cannot race on high graphics at 7FPS at best. I'm not one that likes or does that. As such, I fear I will be unable to play this game unless this is fixed or I can get some help.

Looks like fun, nice game. Best substitute for NASCAR Racing 2003 Season I can find at the moment [which my arsehole brother deleted because 'I wasn't using it', even though I clearly stated I was only taking a break from it], and it's sad I cannot even play it. I enjoyed NASCAR the Game 2011 and LOVED NASCAR Inside Line, so this is a major upset to me.

What the specs of the computer you're using? If it's a desktop, then you might be able to upgrade it so that it can run games comptently. With that said NASCAR 14 seems be faily unoptimized. My PC exceeds the recommended specs by fair margin and it's still not buttery smooth.

Even so, I don't know how it will end up as I have yet to have actually started a race. May sound sill by I hate having games windowed...stupid OCD

Anyway, I do know that the computer is not exactly the best in the world. My brother was an idiot with Minecraft and modded everything...I had to litterally do a manual reinstall at least 4 times because of stupid mistakes or idiot downloads. God only knows the conditon of that thing...

What do you mean by 'specs'? Specifications?

Yes, like what kind of CPU does it have and what is the clock speed of the CPU, what kind of video card does it have?, How much RAM?, etc.

Okay
It's a Window's 7 Home Desktop edition...
On NR2003 it got about 30-60 FPS so it CAN handle certain conditions...
Bought in late 2007 [late November if I'm correct]
Think it is a 32 or 64 bit but not entirely sure
Most newer games do not handle too well unless I crank down the graphics [or in the case of Minecraft, crank up]

I installed Portal and Portal 2. Portal works fine, perfectly, but I cannot play Portal 2. I can load up anything but as soon as I try to physically play it crashes. Installing anything related to Portal 2 on GMOD gives my Black and Pink texture.

IDK if the last one is relavent but it may/may not have some sort of random effect.

dude, specs of the computer is important like exactly how much memory you have, and what cpu you have. What graphics adapter or graphics card is on this computer ? That will be a big deal to figure out how to advise you.

Ugh. I'm not near it right now nor do I really know on hand. I have two computers [the Windows 7 and a Windows XP laptop made in 2003, which I'm using at this moment], and I have to share the other one with my brother.

I honestly have no idea about the adapter but may have info on the card. I'll crunch the numbers when I have acess and figure out how much rough memory we got and I'll go from there.

We would like to mainly see your graphics card, CPU, and RAM that you currently have and that hopefully we'll see if your graphics issue is an issue with your PC or game.

To find your specifications (for Windows 7): Start -> Run -> type dxdiag

Okay here is what I got...

System:
-Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit [6.1; build 7601]
-System Model: Inspiron 537s
-Processer: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5300 @ 2.60 GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.6GHz
-Memory: 4096MB RAM
-Page file: 2885 MB used, 5235 MB available
-DirectX Version: DirectX 11

Device
Name: Intel G41 Express Chipset
Manufactuer: Intel Corp.
Chip Type: Intel Series 4 Express Chipset Family
DAC Type: Internal
Approx Total Memory: 1695 MB

Though I highly doubt this effects anything, this computer is meant to be setup with Broadband. Due to confusion and inconvinence, we bought a Wireless Acess USB that allows the CPU to access our Wireless Router in the same way a laptop, tab, phone, etc. could.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the game won't run on a dedicated graphics chipset. Trust me personally, as I have tried to run the game on a chipset and it wouldn't run properly.

I could be wrong, but also I don't think your CPU fits under the requirements. I'll ask for a full requirement list in the morning to verify my thoughts but as far as the graphics issue you have goes, its because of your chipset. You need to buy a new graphics card (above an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT) if you want to play this game.

We apologize if you bought the game expecting to run.

Yeah, unfortunately your computer is quite obsolete and really isn't well suited for playing many games made in the last 4 or 5 years. The CPU is pretty slow, but the biggest issue is the integrated graphics. It's well below the minimum specs for NASCAR 2014 or just about any other (non-indie) game made in the last few years.

Normally you could upgrade the computer, but since your computer has a SFF case, your options are very limited. You're going to be limited to low profile videocards, few of which are decently powerful ( LP Radeon 7750 is about as good as it's going to get). Complicating matters even more is the fact that the PSU is proprietary due to the SFF case, so an off the shelf ATX PSU isn't going to an option. The stock 250 watt PSU is going to be a problem.

Realistically though, if you envision yourself playing newer games, you're going to need a new computer.

Thanks for that. I was unsure if this game was going to work on that CPU to begin with but I figured I'd try.
Guess this also explains why some of my other games are toliet papaer...

Thanks for the help, and I'm hoping I can get a new CPU ASAP.

If you're unsure about any of the specs of the computers you're looking at, make sure you ask someone who's up to speed on those matters before you actually buy.

Got it. Once again. thanks.
