What is Earthnet?

It says multiplayer via lan or earthnet. What is Earthnet?

It's not Exciter, it's either someone at STEAM or whomever in the dev group who was responsible for PR / marketing. I honestly can't guess whether it's really just the worst sort of typo...or if they try to have some match-making system with a proprietary vineer they call "EarthNet"

I figured it was something like WON.. An acient matchmaking system. But since they put it in the description on the store page, I thought maybe it might still be in use.
