HELP! Problem with starting a game on windows 10

Hello,
I've bought a game recently and i have a problem with starting it. When i press play it only change my status form "online" to "playing knightshift" and nothing else's happening.


When I tried to launch the config window it only says that i don't have direct x 8.1 and when i try to download it and install it says that it isn't a wright version for my windows.
Please help :(

I had the same issue and after searching a while I found the solution.
Go to Windows Control Panel and look for "programs and features". On the left there's an option called something like "turn windows features on/off". Go there and search for "Legacy Components". Expand that and check "Directplay" in there. Save and it should work.
