Question about characters.

I'm assuming there's no character creation in this game, however it mentions 12 different playable classes in the store page. Do you swap characters or is it some kind of skill tree?

You choose a character type at the beginning of the game, IIRC

more precisely, you have only one character at the beginning, then you unlock characters by completting missions and each character incarnate a playable class, i.e. an archer, a mage, etc..

Thank you both for the replies! One other question I do have though is, what is the point of the coins and is a must to collect them all every mission?

The coins are some kind of equipment unlocker, the more you collect the more equipment you can wear. And there is a coin bonus at the end of the mission if you collected all coins in the level, it double your final amount. Coins are token that will be never spent but gathered, its more a "capacity or quality limit" that you "upgrade" missions after missions.

There was a a way to mess with the files from the game folder, so you could play as the paladin instead of the warrior and Zale also ancestor warriors etc, super fun
