Peasant rebellion not included in the HD version
Strangely enough there is no option to choose between the normal and the expansion campaign when in the game menu. Also there aren't any online options I can choose from. Anyone here that could clarify this for me?

Thanks! Love the game!

Hey, with HD mode alot of people has problems, there are many bugs and even HD mode crashes, so its seems pointless to play HD mode.
For Online, there is Mod called ''KAM Remake''. There is multyplayer, Bug fixes and 2 NEW campaing stories. Just search in google there website :)
Hope it helps!

A friend who has this game and I am also having the same problem as the original poster. We each can play the first game, but when it's done, no clue how to access the content from The Peasants Rebellion. Are we missing something?

yep you don't get the extras or the sandbox in the HD mode. Although I haven't had any problems with it and the graphics update is nice, they took all the good stuff out and just left a crunchy outer shell.

HD version is remake of the very first release, Peasant Rebellion was an expansion that you had to purchase separately and for a reason or two it wasn't made into HD.

Well HD version also has problems like: Buildings are unlocked from start

Edit:

Listing here problems that I have encountered with steam version:

Crashes:
SD: 1
HD: 0

Common bugs in both versions (probably existed already back in 1998 already):
- Serf Pathfinding when there is a long road between 2 buildings (atleast 64 stones)
-- serf doesn't supply building with construction materials (usually)

SD bugs:
- N/A so far
- game speed 1/2 - 2/3 from regular, doesn't affect UI / sounds

HD bugs:
- Building progress in campaign (all buildings open), most likely "debug" mode left on with release version

Yes the HD version of the game is by far worst than the original version. Maybe it's time to remove this from Steam? Years ago was a decent game, but so was Settlers I (also a way better game at that time). Years later this game has not improved and today it's just something that should be removed from Steam. Also it should be free since there's no developer that works on it or supports it.
