KaM Remake AI is quite capable (and better than in TSK already). If you try out latest Betas - the AI (written by Toxic) is even better. Just make sure to separate scripted campaign missions (not AI) and competitive AI you can select in MP.
KaM Remake is a completely other program, it just copies the original game content to the remake and has its own code. Even IF it was prohobited by steam they couldn't block it. And, by the way, anti-cheat to original KaM makes no sense as original has no multiplayer.

Note that this is a beta version - it makes archers weaker and knight footman tougher.
