KAM remake LAN game: cannot load previous saves?

Hi! I know this isn't strictly about KAM, but about the remake. Still, it would be nice to know!

My fiance and I have been enjoying playing KAM remake multiplayer over local LAN. I can save the game just fine, however, I cannot find any way to then load the game so we can pick up where we left off? Does anyone have any idea how this is done? Am I just not looking right? I set up the server on my laptop and he joins. When I save and exit the mission, the server dissapears, so we can't just rejoin to load. Any dice?

Create new MP lobby and choose the savegame instead of the map on the top-right
