Earth 21 Remaster?

I know this is a dumb question because there aren't many people who would play a "new" Earth 21 game but woulden't it be cool to have all three games plus expansions remastered with slightly improved graphics and offical support for higher resolutions up to 1080p and beyond?

Fang here, if earth 2150 is ever remastered, i would probally get a copy of it. as long as THEFANG unit still exists and powerful like he is, count me in.

also i've remembered a mod for "Earth 2160" that makes it simular to Earth 2150. sadly however the aliens were broken in that mod... i forgot the name of it sadly...

I too would like to see a remastered version. E2150 has great campaign. Maybe they can open source the game engine of all Earth games and let some enthusiasts do a homebrew version. (Yeah, i know this is quite unlikely to happen)

hmm now that i think about it. i bet one bonus campaign is when THEFANG falls in love with NEWHOPE and long story short its a LC campaign involveing both of them and if one of them dies, game over. just a thought.

also if i have an opinion, they should have had a unique voice for NEWHOPE just like THEFANG...

So far it's still the only Franchise where you can research various components and then design your own tanks isn't it?

absolutely loving that concept and also units gaining level ups and one did want to make sure that the highest level units stay alive =)

Not realy... Warzone 2100 was first in that regart and is way better when it comes to level ups for units. Especiel since you can KEEP that levels from mediocre early game tanks for higher tier ones (just scrap em and build new ones but DONT LET THEM DIE). I am ashamed that so few know about the real place 1 in customize tanks that is Warzone 2100 ... it makes me real sad ya know?

But to answer the OP , well nope not gonna happen. Even thou the sorce code is available already no one cares to do something with it. there where games where it happend (Conquest Frontier wars (soon on steam yet Free version is better (its the comunity upgraded version), Homeworld 2 (mods for regular HW2 are so much better than even complex 10.4 atm(especiel since they work in MP....), Warzone 2100 (the whole PC version was brought on par with the console one (wich featured MORE techs and better ballance overall), yet those games had a pretty large fanbase to begin with. Earth 2150 well, never had a chanze. It was born against such things as TA, Warzone and CnC. 2160 killed of the last remnants of its comunity with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aliens.

I would be very happy if the remaster would happen with updated AI. (Keeping formations while marching, calculating the necessary fire power to kill enemy units, keeping the max distance when fireing enemy buildings, etc) if it would happen it would be the best strategy game in the world! :(

I think the publishers more or less abandoned the Earth 21XX franchise after the trainwreck that was Earth 2160.
