Earth 2150 Not Starting
So I picked up the games bundle this week and I have got everyone to start (2140, MP, LS & 2160) but the Earth 2150 Trilogy is not starting. I keep getting and error saying its not installed properly and need to reinstall. Tried that twice and it still doesn't work! Tried running with compatibility mode and admin mode without sucess.
Win 7 Home 64 bit
AMD 8core 4ghz

Nvidia GTX 760 2GB

Fang here, did you set up your "Graphic settings" in the game yet? you could try right clicking on the Earth 2150 Trilogy game and hit Graphic settings" there. i reccomend 1024x768 and to skip intros. If the graphics card is not working for you for some reason, try OpenGL. hope this helps :advent:

I Tried this and I get the same error "game not installed correctly, Reinstall" Can't access the game at all.

hmm weird, did you try to launch it from your C drive instead of steam? it could be because it was set to the wrong launch program maybe?

I can Try that, Will advise.
Also Test this on my cheap laptop (Celeron 1.6ghz, 4gb ram, integrated video, win10 32bit) and the game does load fine!

Nope, Not working from the C drive either. strange that this is the only one of the bundle that doesn't work.

Does The moon Project or Lost souls work for you?

Those do work, its only the 2150 Trilogy (first game) that doesn't

Honestly your only missing out on the first campaigns. the other 2 games though are apparently moddable. i would suggest to get the superstorm mod and theirs another mod as well that adds new units/weapons and stuff. i think it was called Project X or Operation X.

I had this problem as well (both with the steam version and the gog.com version. On my computer I got it working by going to my steam library. In there I go to steamapps\common\earth 2150 Trilogy. In there right click on earth 2150.exe. Choose properties and enter the compatibility tab. On that page set compatibility mode to Windows XP (service pack 3).

i bought all of these games in like 2014 and 2150 didn't work(2140 and 2160 did). i guess i should reinstall and try this trick. thanks.

I fixed this by installing the game with steam running with administrator priveleges.
If you've already downloaded the game, find the games install directory in the common folder, rename the folder as "xEarth 2150 EftbP" (or something similar) and delete the game from within your steam library.

Rename the install directory back to "Earth 2150 EftbP" and with Steam running with admin privileges reinstall the game. It should rediscover the downloaded files and when you click play should now be able to add the relevant registry keys correctly.

I'm running Win 10 x64 1709
