I kind of regret getting the Steam version backed in hindsight haha, since all Backers got the Ultimate Edition on Steam as a bonus. I now have two copies of the same thing more or less on the same system. While the Switch copy I bought later gets shafted...
I feel it's also insulting that they treat it as a seperate item on the store. When other games like Divinity will just upgrade the base version and get rid of it. Make the Ultimate the new standard. Just feels cheap.
I think one of two things should happen
1. If a some one has the core game and all DLCs then they should be able to get or buy an upgrade, like another DLC yes but it would upgrade it into the ultimate edition.
2. Same as above only we just get it
It's a shame too, since I really liked the game when I beat it the first time, but all of this kinda turns me off from buying a future shantae game (should they go with a crowdfunding development method again)
I agree to a point, I mean if the game is fun I will still play it, but I will feel bad doing it.
But knowing how they been doing thing I think there is a good chance of something good happening
