There is some cute, cartoony fanservice, but that's as far as it goes.
Exactly. That's one of (many) the reasons I love the Shantae series so much. It manages to be cute, attractive, light hearted, and full of badass and fun characters (don't try telling me Shantae isn't totally BA), but never truly "sexy" like so many games go far.
The characters are presented with an attitude of "This is just who they are," rather than "Like what you see, audience? *wink*" If... if that makes any sense.
Anyway, I've especially never seen Shantae herself as "sexy" in the usual sense. Tough, kickass, and utterly adorable? Yes. But never lewd.
