It's a sense you develop after playing many games of this type.
I too saw the statue just one block off the ground, asked myself if maybe there was a block that you could get there, and indeed, there is.
Some gamers can just look at a map and point out all the places that are most likely to hold hidden treasure or secret passages.
I can agree with that. The only other one that might have been annoying was the one with the mouse in Mermaid Falls.
Most keys were just kind of right there on the way to other things...
